Overview

The tour begins with check-in at 7:00 AM at Heuston Station in Dublin, where guests meet the guide at the designated stand. The train departs promptly at 7:20 AM for Kilkenny, arriving around 9:00 AM. Upon arrival, the guide leads a walking tour of Kilkenny’s medieval streets lasting approximately two and a half hours. Kilkenny Castle

Arrive in Kilkenny at 9:00 AM, known as the Marble City due to its black limestone buildings. Kilkenny sits on the river Nore and features a dominant castle, which serves as the meeting point with the guide. The tour covers the medieval streets and highlights include the Church of Ireland Cathedral of St Canice, dating from the 13th century and converted to Anglican after 1539. Guests have free time to visit local pubs such as Paris Texas on High Street and Langton’s on John Street Lower.
