This quarter-day rafting trip on the Animas River in Durango lasts about two hours and is designed to be family friendly. The trip includes Class I, II, and III rapids that provide enough excitement for beginners and children without being too difficult. A professionally certified white water guide leads the group, giving safety instructions and support throughout the trip. Transportation to and from the river is included, along with free parking at the launch site. All necessary rafting equipment such as life jackets and helmets are provided. Thermal gear is available to rent if needed. Souvenir photos can be purchased separately. Gratuities for the guide are not included. The minimum age to participate is four years, and children under eleven must weigh at least thirty pounds.
