Book on Viator Confirmed right away, but you pay full price.$50This four-hour tour takes place in the east side of El Yunque Rainforest, Puerto Rico’s only tropical rainforest. A local guide born and raised in Puerto Rico leads the group and provides information about the history of El Yunque and Puerto Rico, as well as details about the rainforest’s plants and animals. The tour begins with a 20 to 25-minute walk along a trail through the rainforest. After the trail, there is a short five-minute walk to reach two natural waterfalls and two natural water slides. Participants can choose to use the water slides, jump from various cliffs, and try a rope swing at the waterfalls. Photos and videos are taken during these activities and included in the tour. Bottled water is provided throughout the tour. Some sections of the trail and waterfall area require light climbing on rocks, so the tour is not recommended for people with knee, ankle, or back problems. Transportation from San Juan, Río Grande, Luquillo, or Fajardo is included only if selected; otherwise, guests must arrange their own transportation. Entry fees to El Yunque National Forest are included in the tour price. Flip flops or Crocs are not allowed, and participants should wear shoes with good grip, bring a towel, and a swimsuit. The tour is not suitable for pregnant travelers or those with recent surgery, serious back, heart, or epilepsy conditions. If weather conditions cause cancellation, the tour can be rescheduled or refunded.
