Real Sitio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial

San Lorenzo de El Escorial, also called El Escorial de Arriba, is a town and municipality in the Community of Madrid, located 47 kilometres northwest of Madrid at the southeastern side of the Sierra de Guadarrama near Mount Abantos and Las Machotas. It is the head of the judicial party of the same name and is distinguished from the nearby village of El Escorial, known as El Escorial de Abajo.
