Overview

The Exotik Half-Day Tour in Playa del Carmen includes two main activities: swimming in a cenote cave and snorkeling with sea turtles. The tour begins with a visit to Cenote Nohoch, located in the jungle near Playa del Carmen. Participants spend about two hours swimming and exploring this natural limestone sinkhole filled with mineral-rich freshwater. An aquatic guide is present to assist and ensure safety during the cenote swim. Afterward, the tour continues to Akumal Beach, a calm bay where sea turtles graze on seagrass. Guests have approximately two hours to snorkel alongside the sea turtles, using provided snorkeling equipment and guided by an aquatic expert. The total duration of the tour is about five to six hours. Included in the tour are round-trip transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle from Playa del Carmen, bottled water, snacks, and the services of aquatic guides at both the cenote and sea turtle snorkeling locations. Admission fees and gratuities are not included. Participants should bring swimwear, a towel, flip flops, a change of clothes, and cash for local taxes and optional expenses such as the turtle care program. Sunscreen is not allowed during the sea turtle snorkeling activity to protect the marine environment.
