Overview

This full-day tour starts with a pickup from a hotel or designated location in Cairo or Giza between 7:00 and 8:00 AM. Participants travel by air-conditioned vehicle for about 100 minutes to the Fayoum desert, with a photo stop at Qarun Lake, known as the oldest natural lake in the world. Upon arrival, the tour continues with a 4x4 safari across the desert dunes, including opportunities for dune bashing and sandboarding on the soft, golden sands. Next, the group visits the Wadi El Rayan waterfalls, where there is time to view the falls and take a camel or horse ride along the banks of Wadi El Rayan Lake. The tour proceeds to the Mudawara Mountains for panoramic views of the lake and surrounding desert. Afterward, participants visit Magic Lake to observe its changing colors. The tour includes a stop at a Bedouin desert camp for a barbecue lunch with bottled water provided. A professional Egyptologist guide accompanies the group throughout the approximately 10-hour tour. Entrance fees to Wadi El Rayan National Park are not included and must be paid onsite. The tour concludes with a return transfer to the original pickup point in Cairo or Giza.
