Next, visit the Step Pyramid at Sakkara, located about 27 km southwest of Cairo. This pyramid was built for King Zoser and marks an important development in pyramid construction, evolving from simple mastabas to stepped structures. You will also visit the Pyramid of Teti and the Mastaba of Ti in Sakkara. The Mastaba of Ti contains detailed wall scenes depicting daily life and was discovered by Auguste Mariette. After Sakkara, the tour continues to Dahshur, about 40 km south of Cairo on the Nile’s west bank.
