Overview

This walking tour focuses on two key landmarks that symbolize Florence’s artistic heritage: Michelangelo’s Statue of David and the Duomo complex. The tour lasts about two to three hours and includes skip-the-line access to the Accademia Gallery, where visitors see David and other Renaissance sculptures. A professional guide leads the group through these sites, providing detailed explanations. The itinerary continues with a guided visit of Piazza del Duomo, exploring the history and architecture of Florence’s cathedral square. Afternoon tours include a guided entry into the Cathedral itself, while morning tours visit the Cathedral independently using pre-booked tickets. The tour also visits either the Duomo Museum or the Baptistery, depending on timing and availability, to view original artworks and mosaics. An optional self-guided climb of Giotto’s Bell Tower is offered at the end, giving visitors panoramic views over Florence and the surrounding Tuscan landscape. Headsets are provided to hear the guide clearly. Transport to the meeting point is not included.
