Overview

This small-group bus tour lasts about 8 and a half hours and starts near the Palace of Catalan Music in Barcelona. Guests meet the guide and prepare for the day before departing through the Eixample district. The drive to Girona takes roughly one hour, during which the guide provides a short history of Barcelona and Catalunya. In Girona, the tour lasts about 90 minutes and focuses on filming locations from the sixth season of 'Game of Thrones.' Visitors follow the paths of characters like Arya, Jaime, and Margaery Tyrell while the guide shows photos that explain the production process. Guests taste an ice cream shaped like Ser Jaime's golden hand and have time to walk Girona’s medieval streets, including the Jewish quarter and its historic architecture. After some free time, the group travels to Blanes for lunch. Lunch takes place in a family-run restaurant in Blanes on the Costa Brava, where homemade sangria and various local dishes are served. Following lunch, the tour visits Castillo de Garcimunoz, a medieval castle from the 13th and 14th centuries with well-preserved remains and views. After about 30 minutes there, the group returns to Barcelona, ending the day at Plaça Catalunya, where guests can take public transport onward. The tour includes air-conditioned transport, a local guide, lunch, and the themed ice cream but excludes hotel pickup and gratuities. The tour is conducted in English.
