Overview

. Fugaku Wind Cave is a lava cave approximately 201m long, formed by an eruption of Mt. Fuji, and is a valuable natural spot designated as a national natural monument. It is a mysterious cave spread within the Aokigahara Jukai forest, where visitors can experience the dynamic nature created by the land of Mt. Fuji. . The average temperature inside the cave is about 3°C. In addition to enjoying the cool chill even in summer, it also has a history of being used as a "natural refrigerator" to preserve silkworm eggs and seeds. The ice pillars remaining in the cave are also a must-see! . On the tour course, visitors can observe unique geological formations created by Mt. Fuji's volcanic activity, such as lava shelves and rope-like lava, up close.
