Overview

This itinerary includes the Takachiho boat experience. Enjoy the fun of rowing under the waterfall! Departing from Fukuoka, this tour selects popular natural attractions in central Kyushu—Mount Aso Nakadake Crater, Kusasenri Plateau, and the Takachiho Gorge boat ride—to take you on a journey through the geological wonders of volcanoes, grasslands, and canyons, easily immersing you in a visually and spiritually stunning experience. In the morning, we will head to Mount Aso Nakadake Crater, one of Japan's largest active volcanic groups, to witness firsthand the volcanic lake and sulfurous landscape that constantly emits smoke. Afterwards, we will stroll through the vast Kusasenri Plateau, which resembles a sea of grass. On clear days, you can capture high-quality photos of "people in the grassland with a volcano in the background." In the afternoon, we will arrive at Takachiho Gorge, known as one of "Japan's most beautiful gorges." We will take a small hand-rowed boat into the deep gorge to experience the spectacular water curtain of Manai Falls up close. The basalt columnar cliffs on both sides look like natural carvings, beautiful as if from an anime scene. The itinerary includes a professional guide throughout, ensuring no language barriers. The schedule is relaxed and comfortable, suitable for independent travelers, couples, friends, and photography enthusiasts.
