The tour begins with a pickup from Santa Marta at 8:45 am, transporting participants to Minca to start the hiking experience. Upon arrival at 9:45 am, the group views a photographic exhibition featuring local mountain wildlife while receiving an overview of the day's activities. The hike continues with a 30-minute walk to a coffee farm where the process of coffee cultivation, collection, fermentation, drying, and roasting is explained over 45 minutes. Next is a 40-minute walk to the Lost Waterfall, a sacred site for indigenous communities, where participants can bathe and relax in the water. Following this, the tour proceeds with a 45-minute walk to the Jungle Joe Bamboo house for a 30-minute talk about the use of bamboo in Colombian construction. Guests are then served a gourmet lunch by their host Joe. After lunch, the group attends a 30-minute presentation on local biodiversity. The final part of the tour is a 30-minute cocoa workshop covering the history and processing of cacao, including techniques to increase its alkaloid content and instructions on making a personal cacao bar. Before returning, participants visit the Museo del Cacao de Minca for 20 minutes, where they can observe the production of cocoa by-products and purchase items.
