Overview

Torres del Paine National Park in Chile is known for its mountain peaks, lakes, and waterfalls. This full-day bus tour departs from Puerto Natales and lasts about 8 to 10 hours. It covers key viewpoints accessible by vehicle and includes short hikes at selected stops. The tour begins with pickup from hotels in Puerto Natales, traveling north to Villa Cerro Castillo, the nearby town and gateway to the park. The first photo stop is at Lago Sarmiento viewpoint, offering views of the Paine Mountain Range and the lake. Next is Laguna Amarga viewpoint, which provides one of the best views of the granite towers and is a feeding area for flamingos. At the park entrance, tickets are registered before continuing to the Nordenskjöld Lake viewpoint, which shows the lake and mountain range up close. A 30-minute walk leads to Salto Grande waterfall, weather permitting. Then the tour visits Pehoe Lake Lookout Point, which overlooks turquoise waters framed by several mountain peaks. The route continues south to Torres del Paine National Park’s southern sector, where there is time for lunch (not included) and a walk if weather allows. The tour proceeds to Mirador Grey, which offers views of Lake Toro, the Grey Glacier, and surrounding mountains. After one hour of driving, the group visits the Mylodon Cave Natural Monument, an important archaeological and paleontological site dating back over 11,000 years. The guide provides information about the cave’s history and findings. The tour ends with a return trip to Puerto Natales and drop-off at the hotel around 5 PM. A box lunch option is available and includes a sandwich, bottled water, juice, dried fruit, nuts, a cereal bar, and a chocolate bar, with recycled packaging. Included in the tour are seat insurance, snacks, air conditioning on the bus, a bilingual English-Spanish guide, and shared transportation with hotel pickup and drop-off. Entrance fees, lunch, and gratuities are not included.
