The trek includes climbing a glacier moraine with a steep slope to reach the Base Torres Viewpoint at 2,855 feet (870 meters) above sea level. At the viewpoint, there is time for lunch, taking photos, and visiting a small beach by the lake where participants can touch the water and observe the surroundings. The descent back to the shuttle takes about three hours. After the hike, the shuttle returns to Puerto Natales, arriving between 8:00 and 9:00 PM. The tour includes mountain equipment such as trekking poles and crampons if needed for winter conditions, as well as a first aid kit. Entrance fees to Torres del Paine National Park, lunch (except in private tours where lunch is included), and winter headlamps and gaiters are not included. Participants must bring suitable mountain shoes, food, and drinks, and headlamps and gaiters are mandatory during the winter season.
