Overview

The tour begins at 9:00 AM in Galway with a coach ride along the Wild Atlantic Way through the Burren’s limestone landscape to Doolin. From Doolin, participants take a 20-minute ferry to Inisheer, the smallest Aran Island, where they can explore a 10th-century castle ruin, a sunken church, a shipwreck, and a quiet beach. Walking the island’s boreens is included, while bike or pony and trap rentals are available for an extra fee. After returning by ferry to Doolin, there is an optional cruise along the base of the Cliffs of Moher for a view of the cliffs from the water. Those who prefer not to take the cruise can remain at Doolin Pier and wait for the group. The tour then stops for a break in Doolin village, where a meal at a traditional Irish pub is possible but not included. The final stop is at the Cliffs of Moher, where visitors have one hour to walk the new coastal paths and visit the Visitor Centre, which features a virtual reality exhibit called Atlantic Edge. Entry to the cliffs is included. The return trip to Galway follows a scenic coastal route, arriving around 7:30 PM. The tour lasts about 10 and a half hours and includes transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle, a professional driver/guide, entrance to the Cliffs of Moher, and ferry transfers to and from Inisheer.
