Overview

Armenia offers several notable sites outside Yerevan, including ancient temples, monasteries, and a large mountain lake. This group day trip lasts about 8 to 9 hours by air-conditioned bus, covering Garni, Geghard, Lake Sevan, and Sevanavank. The tour begins at Hyur Service, the meeting and ending point. The first stop is Charent's Arch, which provides a view of Mount Ararat. Then the group visits Garni Temple, a pagan sanctuary from the 1st century, where there is also a master class and tasting of traditional Armenian lavash bread. Next is Geghard Monastery, a rock-cut religious complex with carved chambers. After these cultural visits, the tour continues to Lake Sevan, known as Armenia's blue pearl, where passengers spend about half an hour enjoying the lakeside. The final stop is Sevanavank Monastery on a peninsula with panoramic views from a hilltop after climbing 200 steps. A religious seminary operates here, which is generally closed to visitors. Throughout the tour, the guide provides commentary in English and Russian, and passengers have access to bottled water, pastries, WiFi, and admission tickets. Lunch is not included and hotel pickup is not offered.
