Upon arrival, the group visits the Eiffel Bridge, built around 1877 by Gustave Eiffel, then walks through Girona’s Old Town, stopping at Pujada de Sant Domenec, a well-known Game of Thrones filming location, and the Cathedral of Girona, which features the second widest Gothic nave in the world built in 1733. After exploring Girona’s historic sites, the tour continues through the Empordà countryside, one of Catalonia’s twelve wine regions, on the way to Peratallada. This medieval village has a small population and well-preserved architecture. Visitors have about an hour to walk around Peratallada's streets. Next, the tour drives along rural roads through the Costa Brava region to reach Calella de Palafrugell, an old fishing village with narrow streets and traditional fishermen’s houses. Guests receive two hours of free time here for lunch and swimming if weather permits. The return drive from Costa Brava to Barcelona takes approximately two hours through the Province of Girona, often called the Tuscany of Spain. Lunch and gratuities are not included in the price.
