Overview

This small-group day tour lasts about 11 and a half hours and includes travel by air-conditioned minivan from Barcelona. The tour starts at 8:30 AM after a meeting near the Palau de la Musica, with a brief introduction and history of Barcelona while passing through the Eixample district. The group then drives for about 90 minutes to Figueres to visit the Dalí Theatre-Museum. Guests enter without waiting in line and spend around two hours viewing Dalí’s collection arranged as a single surreal artwork rather than by date or theme. From July 1st to August 31st, after the museum, the tour visits the medieval coastal village of Sant Martí d'Empuries for about one and a half hours, where guests can have lunch or relax by the beach. The day ends with a visit to Pubol Castle, Dalí’s gift to his wife, where visitors can explore the exterior and, if they choose, enter the castle with a pre-booked ticket. From September 1st to June 30th, after the museum visit, the tour heads to Cadaqués, a coastal village known for its white Mediterranean houses and narrow streets. Guests have about two hours here, including lunch time. Then the group travels a few minutes to Port Lligat to visit Dalí’s former home for about one hour, with pre-booked tickets available for entry. The guide shares information about Dalí’s life and marriage during the visit. The day concludes by returning to Barcelona near the Arc de Triomf between 6:30 and 7:00 PM. The tour includes an English-speaking guide, small group commentary, entrance to the Dalí Museum, and transport in a minivan. Entrance fees to Dalí’s House in Port Lligat and Pubol Castle are not included but can be booked through the guide. Gratuities, meals, and hotel pickup or drop-off are also not included. The Dalí House is closed on January 1st and from January 9th to February 10th but can be viewed from outside during that time. This tour operates only in English.
