Overview

This small-group day trip lasts about 10 hours and starts with a visit to Giverny, where guests tour Monet’s House and the water lily gardens that inspired his paintings. A guide leads the group through the gardens and house with reserved timed entrance. After the morning visit, the group stops for a three-course lunch with drinks at the Moulin de Fourges. In the afternoon, the tour continues to the Palace of Versailles. With over 700 rooms covering more than 721,000 square feet, the guided visit includes the King’s Apartments, featuring seven salons each dedicated to a different god, and the Queen’s Apartments. The visit also includes the Dauphin and Dauphine’s apartments and a 20-minute stop in the Hall of Mirrors (La Galerie des Glaces). After the guided tour inside the palace, guests have free time to explore the expansive gardens, which contain fountains, ponds, flower beds, groves of trees, and the statue of Louis XIV on horseback just outside the palace. The group returns to Paris at around 6:00 pm. The tour is led by a qualified guide and limited to 15 people. Entrance to the Trianon of Versailles and private transportation are not included. Gratuities are also not included. Baby strollers are not allowed inside Versailles Palace, and the tour is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Flat shoes are recommended due to parquet floors and cobblestones. During high season, queues may occur despite reserved entrances.
