This full-day bus tour lasts about 8 to 10 hours and visits some of Egypt’s most famous sites around Giza. The day starts with a hotel pickup and a visit to the Pyramids of Giza. You will see the three main pyramids - Cheops (Khufu), Chephren (Khafre), and Mykerinus (Menkaure) - and learn about their construction and significance from a qualified Egyptologist. The tour includes stops to view the pyramids from a lookout point, explore the Valley Temple, and stand near the Great Sphinx. After visiting the pyramids and Sphinx, the tour continues to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Here you can see thousands of ancient artifacts, including the treasures of King Tutankhamun, arranged in galleries organized by era and theme. The visit to the museum takes about three hours. The final part of the day offers a choice between a one-hour ride on a traditional felucca sailing along the Nile or a visit to Khan El Khalili Bazaar for shopping and exploring. The Pyramids Of Giza
The tour begins in the morning with a hotel pickup followed by a visit to the Pyramids of Cheops (Khufu), Chephren (Khafre), and Mykerinus (Menkaure). These are the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The Great Pyramid of Cheops was built as a tomb for Pharaoh Khufu between 2560 BC over 14 to 20 years.

Early in the tour, you stop at a lookout point where all three Giza pyramids align on the horizon. This spot offers a broad view of the pyramids representing powerful pharaohs from ancient Egypt.

Pyramid of Menkaure
This is the smallest of the three pyramids, originally about 65 meters high. It was built for Pharaoh Menkaure and features lower courses made of red granite from Aswan. The area also includes pyramids for his queens and a mortuary temple.

Khafre’s pyramid is slightly smaller than Khufu’s but appears taller due to its higher base. It still has some of the original smooth casing stones at the top, showing the pyramid’s original finish.

The Great Pyramid of Khufu
Standing before the Great Pyramid, built around the 25th century BCE by Pharaoh Khufu, you see a structure that originally stood nearly 147 meters tall made from about 2.3 million limestone and granite blocks. It is aligned closely to the four cardinal points. Inside are chambers and passages including the King’s Chamber and the Grand Gallery. Recent scans have found a large unknown void inside.

Valley Temple of Khafre
The Valley Temple is built with large limestone and red-pink granite blocks some weighing over 100 tons. Inside, the floor was alabaster and walls once had statues of Khafre. This temple was used for ritual purification of Khafre’s mummified body before burial.

Great Sphinx
This limestone statue has a lion’s body and a human face, likely representing Pharaoh Khafre. It is about 73 meters long and 20 meters high. Despite erosion and damage over centuries, including its missing nose, the Sphinx remains a symbol of ancient Egyptian power.

The Grand Egyptian Museum is the largest museum dedicated to a single civilization. It houses tens of thousands of artifacts covering over 7,000 years of Egyptian history. Highlights include the Tutankhamun Halls with around 5,398 objects and an 83-ton statue of Ramses II in the atrium. Galleries are arranged by historical period and thematic sections.
