Overview

Iceland's Golden Circle includes some of the country's most visited natural attractions like the Geysir geothermal area, Gullfoss waterfall, and Thingvellir National Park. This small-group bus tour lasts about 10 and a half hours and combines these key sites with a visit to Friðheimar farm and the Sky Lagoon geothermal spa. The tour starts with a stop at the Golden Circle route where participants can explore the Geysir area, known for its erupting hot springs, Gullfoss waterfall with its views from several platforms, and Thingvellir National Park, located on the rift between the American and Eurasian tectonic plates and site of Iceland’s ancient parliament. At Thingvellir, there is time to walk between the continental plates. Next, the tour stops at Friðheimar farm for about an hour and a half. Here, visitors watch a horse show demonstrating the gaits of Icelandic horses and take a guided tour of the farm’s geothermal greenhouses, learning how geothermal energy is used to grow vegetables like tomatoes. Guests can also sample the farm’s produce. The itinerary includes a visit to the volcanic Kerið crater where travelers can either descend steps to the crater lake or view it from above. The final stop is the Sky Lagoon geothermal spa, where guests have two hours to use the facilities. Admission includes the 7-step Ritual Experience with the Pure Pass ticket, or guests may opt for the Pure Lite pass to relax in the infinity pool area and enjoy the view. Throughout the tour, snacks and on-board WiFi are provided, and the vehicle has air conditioning. Lunch is not included.
