Overview

This 2.5-hour golf cart tour starts from a central Rome office near the Pantheon and Largo Argentina. Guests meet the guide and board an electric golf cart with seven seats. The tour includes stops at the best viewpoint of Circus Maximus, with views of Palatine Hill, and a drive around the Baths of Caracalla with photo stops at its viewpoints. The group leaves the city through Porta San Sebastiano and drives along the ancient Appian Way (Via Appia Antica), passing the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella and the Castrum Caetani within the Appia Antica Archaeological Park. Participants take a 30-minute guided walk inside the Catacombs of St. Sebastian. After the underground visit, the tour continues with a walk on the ancient Roman pavements of the Appia Antica. The route also includes a drive along the Aurelian Walls and a stop to see Rome’s ancient Pyramid. The guide provides commentary in English throughout the trip. Headsets are used to clearly hear the guide, and bottled water is supplied. The golf cart ride covers approximately two hours of driving. The tour runs with up to two vehicles traveling together, with up to 14 participants total. Each cart holds seven people, and guests use headsets to listen to the same guide. Car seats or boosters can be provided free of charge for children aged 2 to 12. Infants under 2 years are not allowed due to safety regulations.
