Overview

This helicopter tour lasts about two and a half hours and includes a flight from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon’s West Rim in a modern Eco-Star helicopter. Passengers make their own way to the helicopter terminal, check in, and receive a safety briefing before boarding the air-conditioned helicopter. The flight route passes over Lake Las Vegas, Lake Mead, the Hoover Dam, the Hoover Dam bypass bridge, and Fortification Hill. Recorded commentary through headphones provides information about the landmarks and the canyon during the flight. The helicopter lands on a private bluff inside the Grand Canyon, about 3,500 feet below the rim, overlooking the Colorado River. Guests have around 30 to 40 minutes on this bluff to explore and relax under a traditional Native American ramada shelter. During this time, a Champagne toast and light snacks are served. The pilot remains available to answer questions about the canyon and the flight. After the break, the helicopter returns to Las Vegas on a flight lasting about 45 minutes. The timing of the return allows passengers to view the sunset over the Las Vegas Strip and downtown area as the city lights come on. Passengers aged 18 and older must present original government-issued photo ID at check-in; photocopies or digital versions are not accepted. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included, nor are gratuities.
