Overview

The Great Barrier Reef, located off the coast of Cairns in Australia, is one of the world’s largest coral reef systems. This full-day cruise aboard a 35-metre luxury superyacht offers about eight and a half hours on the water, including five hours spent at two outer reef locations. Guests check in at Reef Fleet Terminal early in the morning and board the boat named Evolution. The crew provides snorkeling gear and a safety briefing before sailing at 8 am. The first reef stop, either Saxon Reef or Norman Reef depending on weather and water clarity, is reached after approximately 90 minutes. Visitors can snorkel or dive here with professional instruction and equipment provided. Lunch is served onboard and features a BBQ with fresh fish, steak, prawns, salads, and bread, with vegetarian, dairy-free, and gluten-free options available upon request. After lunch, the boat moves to a second reef location for another hour of snorkeling or diving. Those not participating in water activities can relax on one of three deck levels. For additional cost, guests may upgrade to include a 10-minute scenic helicopter flight over the reef or extra dives beyond the one pre-booked dive included in dive packages. The return trip includes afternoon tea with cheese, biscuits, and a glass of wine. Evolution arrives back at Cairns around 4:30 pm. All fees and taxes are covered in the price, but transportation to the meeting point is not included.
