Overview

The tour departs three times daily from Cairns, with options lasting between three and twelve hours, allowing for either a half-day or full-day visit to Green Island. Guests travel on a fast catamaran for the return trip between Cairns and Green Island. Morning tea or coffee is served onboard before departure. Green Island is a 6,000-year-old coral cay and the only one on the Great Barrier Reef with a rainforest. Upon arrival, guests may choose to snorkel from the island’s white sandy beaches using provided equipment, which includes a mask, snorkel, and fins. Alternatively, guests can take a glass bottom boat tour to view the coral reef without entering the water. Around seven hours are available on the island to snorkel, take the glass bottom boat tour, or walk the self-guided rainforest trail. Access to Great Adventures exclusive benefits includes the island swimming pool and day visitor facilities such as a pool bar, restaurant, and retail outlets where lunch and snacks can be purchased. Snorkelling can be physically demanding; guests should inform the crew of any medical conditions before travel.
