Overview

The tour begins with a pickup from the hotel or Nile cruise in Luxor by a licensed Egyptologist guide. Guests travel by private air-conditioned vehicle to the East Bank of Luxor. The first stop is Karnak Temple, a large complex dedicated to the god Amon, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. Visitors spend about three hours exploring the temples, chapels, pylons, and other structures within the complex. After Karnak, the tour continues to Luxor Temple, located nearby on the Nile’s east bank. This temple was built around 1400 BCE by Amenhotep III during the 18th Dynasty and completed by Ramses II in the 19th Dynasty. The visit to Luxor Temple lasts approximately two hours. Following the temple visits, guests are driven back to their hotel or to Luxor airport. The entire tour lasts about four hours and includes a private Egyptologist guide, private vehicle transport, hotel pickup and drop-off, bottled water, and entrance tickets if selected. Lunch, tipping, and any optional tours are not included.
