Overview

The tour begins with a hotel pickup in Cairo or Giza, followed by a private transfer to the Giza Pyramids. Visitors spend about two hours exploring the three main pyramids: Cheops (Khufu), Chephren (Khafre), and Menkaure (Mykerinos). There is an option to enter the pyramids or take a camel ride around them, though these activities require additional fees. Next, the tour includes a visit to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, where the guide explains the historical details known from inscriptions and artifacts, including the only fully preserved ivory figurine of the king. The group then moves to the Pyramid Complex of Khafre, which features several temples and statues discovered in various excavations. The guide covers the valley temple, Sphinx temple, causeway, and mortuary temple. Following that, visitors see the Pyramid of Menkaure and its associated valley temple, causeway, and mortuary temple, with explanations about the statues and architectural additions from the 5th Dynasty. The tour concludes with a visit to the Great Sphinx and the adjacent Valley Temple, where the body of King Chephren was mummified. Guests can take photos with the Sphinx, with assistance from the guide for different poses. After the visit, the guide arranges the return transfer to the hotel. The entire tour lasts about four hours and includes bottled water, a private air-conditioned vehicle, on-site guiding, and hotel or port pickup and drop-off. Entry fees cover access to the basic areas only.
