Overview

This tour visits the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum & the Atomic Bomb Dome. At 8:15 a.m. on August 6, 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, where many people lived their daily lives. The explosion released intense heat, radiation, and shock waves, destroying buildings and killing more than 100,000 people within a 10-square-kilometer area around the hypocenter. Many survivors suffered long-term effects, including burns, radiation-related illnesses, and social discrimination. Why did this tragedy occur, and what did it mean for ordinary people? The Atomic Bomb Dome and the exhibits at the Peace Memorial Museum quietly raise these questions. This visit may be emotionally challenging, but it offers a powerful and meaningful opportunity to reflect on peace, history, and humanity.
