The Jellurgal Walkabout Walking Tour of Burleigh Headland on the Gold Coast begins with an audio-visual presentation at the Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre. This introduction covers the history and culture of the Yugambeh Language-speaking people and the significance of Jellurgal, also known as Dreaming Mountain. After the presentation, participants take a guided walk along the Oceanview track, which runs along the coastline from Tallebudgera Creek to Burleigh Point. The walk is about 1.2 kilometers one way and is classified as a Grade 2 trail with a hardened surface, gentle hills, and some steps. The guide explains Dreaming stories related to the creation of Jellurgal and describes traditional practices such as bush tucker gathering, fishing, hunting, and ecological land management maintained by the local people for thousands of years. The walkabout lasts approximately two hours but may vary depending on the physical ability of participants. The track allows wheelchair and pram access. Transport to and from the cultural centre, meals, refreshments, personal items, souvenirs, and swimming at Tallebudgera Creek are not included in the tour.
