Overview

This six-hour boat tour from Seward navigates Kenai Fjords National Park, a region shaped by glaciers and home to diverse wildlife. The cruise passes alpine and tidewater glaciers, including options to see Aialik or Holgate Glacier, where visitors may witness ice calving into the ocean. Along the way, the boat visits seabird rookeries within the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge, an area of thousands of islands known for its seabird populations. The journey starts in Resurrection Bay at Seward’s Small Boat Harbor and moves through waters where seals, sea otters, sea lions, puffins, eagles, and whales can often be spotted. The captain provides commentary throughout the cruise, sharing details about the landscape and animals. Lunch is included on board during the trip. Passengers should dress in layers for all weather conditions. Recommended items to bring include a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, binoculars, and a camera. A vegetarian lunch option is available if requested when booking. For travelers arriving by Alaska Railroad the same day, late train arrival may cause missed departure, but alternate tours may be available depending on space.
