Overview

Godwin Glacier covers an area more than 5 miles long and 4 miles wide near Seward, Alaska. This tour begins with a helicopter flight from Seward directly to a professional dog sled camp on top of the glacier. The flight offers views of the glacier and surrounding Alaskan coast. On the glacier, guests meet Alaskan huskies and professional mushers at the dog camp. Participants take a gentle, approximately 2-mile sled ride behind racing dogs for about 25 minutes, with stops for photos. After the ride, there is time to learn about how the sled dogs are raised and to spend time with puppies. Overboots are provided to wear over shoes for the snow. The entire tour lasts about 90 minutes and includes the round-trip helicopter flight, sled ride, and puppy cuddling time. Food, drinks, admission fees, gratuities, and warm weather clothing are not included. Guests should wear layers with a waterproof outer shell due to snow conditions on the glacier.
