Spend about one hour at Potlatch Totem Park where the guide explains the stories behind the carved totem poles. Visitors enter a Clan House to learn about local native culture. The guide covers the traditions of the Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian peoples in this small group setting.

Settlers Cove State Recreational Site

Walk for about one hour through the rainforest at Settlers Cove State Recreational Site. The trail passes old growth trees and moss-covered forest floor alongside a cascading creek. A stop is made at a waterfall viewing area. A local guide points out the flora and explains how these resources were important to Alaska Natives. The trail has some stairs and uphill and downhill sections. There is also a 2 hour tour option available without stairs.
