Overview

This eight-day hiking trip follows the Lemosho Route to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, crossing several distinct climate zones from the heath on the Shira Plateau to the arctic desert near the peak. The route is known for being scenic, less crowded, and offering a gradual acclimatization process suitable for beginners and experienced hikers alike. The climb includes two nights’ accommodation at Aishi Machame Hotel with shared rooms (single rooms at extra charge) before and after the trek. The operator provides all ground transportation, airport pick-up and drop-off from Kilimanjaro International Airport, and high-quality group equipment such as dining tents, sleeping pads, tables, chairs, and cutlery. On the mountain, climbers stay in North Face VE-25 tents shared by two people (single tents available for an extra fee). Certified Wilderness First Responder guides lead the hike, supported by a professional climbing crew including porters, camp masters, and cooks who prepare three meals daily with options for vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free, gluten-free, halal, and other dietary needs. Drinks such as tea, coffee, juices, and soda are provided at camp. Medical kits, medical check-ups, oxygen tanks, and oximeters are included for safety. All Kilimanjaro National Park fees are covered in the price.
