Overview

The tour starts with pickup from one of three meeting points in Krakow or from a hotel if that option is selected. Travelers board an air-conditioned vehicle for the shared transfers to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and Memorial. The guided visit begins at Auschwitz I, where participants walk through the original camp buildings and grounds for about two hours while listening to live English commentary through headsets. Next, the group continues with a one-hour guided walk around Auschwitz II-Birkenau, exploring the grounds of the second camp. After completing the Auschwitz-Birkenau visit, the vehicle takes the group to the Wieliczka Salt Mine near Krakow. Here, the visit lasts about three hours and may be preceded by a lunch break of up to 1.5 hours in Wieliczka if the English-guided option with lunch is chosen. The Salt Mine tour involves descending 800 steps to a depth of 135 meters and walking up to 3 kilometers through underground corridors. The temperature inside the mine remains steady at about 14 degrees Celsius year-round. Visitors return to Krakow at the end of the day, either near the Old Town Square or at their requested location if door-to-door transfer was selected. This full-day bus tour includes licensed driver transfers, live guide commentary, headsets for the Auschwitz part, and air conditioning in the vehicle. Lunch is not included and headsets are not provided during the Salt Mine visit.
