This walking tour lasts about three and a half hours and includes a professional, licensed guide. It begins in Kazimierz, Krakow’s historic Jewish Quarter, starting on Szeroka Street, the neighborhood’s historic center. Participants walk through the streets of Kazimierz for approximately ninety minutes, seeing several synagogues such as the Old Synagogue, the oldest preserved synagogue in Poland, now a Jewish history museum. The route also passes the Remuh Synagogue and Cemetery, the Kupa Synagogue, and the Tempel Synagogue, each representing different aspects of Jewish life and culture alongside Christian traditions. After exploring Kazimierz, the group continues to Schindler’s Enamel Factory for another ninety minutes. This museum features the exhibition “Kraków under Nazi Occupation 1939 - 1945” and tells the story of Oskar Schindler, who protected over a thousand Jewish workers from deportation during World War II. The exhibition includes photographs, personal belongings, and reconstructed street scenes illustrating daily life under Nazi occupation. Fast-track admission to Schindler’s Factory is included. The tour provides historical context on the Jewish community before and during the war, the impact of Nazi occupation, and Schindler’s efforts to save lives. Participants should arrive at least ten minutes before the start time. The museum has narrow corridors designed to reflect wartime conditions. Group size is limited to 25 people, and tours are conducted in one language chosen at booking. The factory no longer contains original production equipment and operates solely as a museum. The tour runs in all weather conditions, so appropriate clothing and footwear are recommended.
