Note⚠️: The Takachiho boat ride is for families of 2-3 people sharing one boat, ensuring undisturbed private time. Solo travelers will share a boat with other solo participants. In case of unforeseen circumstances leading to the cancellation of the boat ride, a refund of 2000 JPY per person will be issued. The boat cruise operator will decide whether to operate on the day based on water levels. In the event of a cruise cancellation, the cruise fee of 2,000 JPY per person will be refunded. Thank you for your patient cooperation. If the number of participants does not reach the minimum required for a group, you will be notified of cancellation by email one day before departure. In case of extreme weather such as typhoons or blizzards, confirmation of cancellation will be made by 18:00 local time one day before departure and notified by email. Seating and Vehicles The itinerary is a shared tour, and seat allocation follows a first-come, first-served principle. If you have special requests, please make a note, and we will do our best to arrange it, but the final arrangement will be subject to the on-site situation. The vehicle model used will be arranged according to the number of participants and cannot be specified. For smaller groups, a driver who also serves as an attendant may be arranged, and the commentary will be relatively brief. If you need to carry luggage, please inform us in advance. If you carry luggage without prior notice, the tour guide has the right to refuse boarding, and no refund will be given. Eating and drinking are prohibited inside the vehicle. If any damage or soiling occurs, compensation will be required according to local standards. Itinerary Adjustments and Safety Japanese law stipulates that commercial vehicles must not be driven for more than 10 hours per day. Overtime will incur additional charges (ranging from 5,000–10,000 JPY per hour). The itinerary is for reference only. Actual traffic, stopovers, and sightseeing times may be adjusted due to weather, traffic jams, facility maintenance, etc. The tour guide may reasonably change or reduce attractions based on actual circumstances. If facilities such as cable cars or boat cruises are suspended due to weather or force majeure, the itinerary will be changed to visit other attractions or adjust the stopover time. No refunds will be given for late arrivals, temporary changes to meeting points, or leaving the group midway due to personal reasons. Any accidents or additional expenses incurred after leaving the group must be borne by the individual. Season and Scenery Seasonal activities such as flower viewing, autumn foliage viewing, snow scenery, and fireworks festivals are greatly affected by climate. The blooming period and peak autumn foliage may be earlier or later. Even if the expected scenery is not met, the tour will still proceed as scheduled, and no refunds will be given. Please note that the cherry blossom blooming dates are affected by local weather and the most beautiful scenery cannot be guaranteed. If there is a Japanese holiday or bad weather, the Takachiho Railway will be canceled and changed to Takachiho Shrine. Takachiho Gorge involves a longer drive, so you can bring some snacks. The gorge requires walking, so please wear comfortable shoes. The Amano Railway does not operate on the third Thursday of every month. Customers wishing to experience the mini-train should avoid this day. We are not responsible if the railway is closed due to weather or holidays. The itinerary will be changed to a visit to Takachiho Shrine. When the number of participants does not meet the stipulated minimum group size, the tour will be canceled, and an email notification of the tour cancellation will be sent 1 day before the departure date. In case of inclement weather such as typhoons or blizzards, a decision on whether to cancel the tour will be made 1 day before departure (18:00 local time), and you will be notified by email thereafter.
