Overview

This six-hour e-bike tour starts at the Flying Wheels bike shop in the center of Interlaken. After a safety briefing and a bike riding test to ensure participants are comfortable with the e-bike, the group rides through the Lauterbrunnen Valley, also called the Valley of 72 Waterfalls. The route includes a stop at Kirche Gsteig, a 12th-century church next to an old wooden bridge and wooden chalets from the 16th century. The tour continues to Staubbach Waterfall, Switzerland's highest free-falling waterfall, where riders pause for about fifteen minutes. Next, the group enjoys a Swiss picnic at a scenic spot in the middle of the Lauterbrunnen Valley. The picnic features local foods such as homemade sausage, alpine cheese, and fresh bread, with vegetarian and vegan options available on request. After the meal, the tour visits Trummelbach Falls, located inside a mountain, where up to 20,000 liters of water flow through narrow gorges. On the return trip, there is a short stop at Lake Brienz, a turquoise-green lake fed by glacier water. The ride finishes by cycling along the clear Aare River back to the Flying Wheels shop in Interlaken. The tour includes a professional guide, helmet, bottled water that can be refilled with glacier water, entry to Trummelbach Falls, and use of the e-bike. Participants must be at least 16 years old and weigh no more than 110 kilograms. Hotel pickup and private parking are not provided.
