In the long nights of Lijiang, "Lishui Jinsha" has long surpassed the meaning of an ordinary performance, becoming a must-experience project to unlock the cultural code of Northwest Yunnan. Since its premiere in 2002, this feast, carried by dance, poetry, and painting, has, in ninety minutes, melted snow-capped mountains, flowing water, and the customs of various ethnic groups into one furnace, empowering traditional folk customs with modern sound, light, and electricity technology, allowing every audience member to immersively touch the thousand-year heritage of Lijiang. The performance progresses through four chapters: "Prelude, Water, Mountain, Emotion," with a clear structure yet profound meaning, fully showcasing the spiritual core of the plateau ethnic groups, from natural charm to humanistic customs. The "Prelude" chapter immediately sets a ceremonial tone: Dongba priests slowly ascend the stage holding scriptures, hieroglyphs flow in the light and shadow, and the Snow Mountain Goddess, carried by high-altitude wirework, dances lightly, as if traveling through a thousand years, telling of the Naxi people's reverence and belief in nature, instantly transporting the audience into the ancient and mysterious Naxi Kingdom. Today, "watching mountains by day and shows by night" has become a standard for Lijiang travel. "Lishui Jinsha" is not just a song and dance performance, but also a journey of spiritual tracing.
