Overview

This five-hour tour begins with a three-hour guided walk through London’s Westminster area, covering 20 top sights. The tour starts at Green Park and proceeds to Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the King. Here, the guide shares stories of British royal history. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 10am, the tour includes watching the Changing of the Guard ceremony from a good viewing spot arranged by the guide. After Buckingham Palace, the walk continues along the Royal Mall to Trafalgar Square, where visitors see Nelson’s Column, the fountains, and The National Gallery. The group then moves to Horse Guards Parade at the edge of St. James Park, pausing to view its famous arch and clock. Next is Whitehall, home to many government buildings and Downing Street, where British Prime Ministers have lived since 1735. The walk ends at Parliament Square, where the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament), Big Ben, the London Eye, and the Churchill Statue are viewed. After the walking portion, the tour includes entry to Westminster Abbey with pre-booked tickets, allowing visitors to avoid the ticket line. Westminster Abbey, with over 1000 years of history, is where British monarchs are crowned. Visitors may explore the abbey at their own pace using a free audio guide available in multiple languages.
