The tour lasts about three hours and includes an in-water guide and photographer who will assist during the swim and take photos. Participants are provided with a full-length wetsuit, mask, snorkel, bottled water, tea, and coffee. A USCG Master Captain commands the boat, and an introductory video is available in five languages: English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish. The tour is operated by a center with over fifteen years of experience in the area, offering optional manatee sighting guarantees with a refund if no manatees are seen. There are also combo tours available that include dolphins and airboat rides, though these are separate from the manatee swim. The company provides a classroom presentation before entering the water to explain local wildlife and safety information. Guests should wear swimsuits under their clothes for quicker check-in and bring towels and warm clothes for after the tour. Wetsuits are provided in all sizes, including for toddlers aged two and up. Children under three are not allowed, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Gratuities, photo packages, towels, and swimsuits are not included in the price.
