Overview

This small-group boat tour from Puerto Vallarta lasts about five hours and focuses on snorkeling around the Marietas Islands, a protected marine area. The group size is limited to a maximum of 10 people per boat to provide a more focused experience. A biologist and naturalist lead the tour, sharing their knowledge of the local wildlife, including blue-footed boobies, and the islands' natural environment. The tour includes snorkeling equipment and bottled water, as well as a boxed lunch consisting of a sandwich, granola bar, snack, and fruit. Visitors have the chance to visit the Hidden Beach, which has restricted access limited to 116 people at a time. Entrance to the Hidden Beach is not guaranteed and depends on conditions such as weather, tides, and visitor limits. If not all participants can enter, a raffle is held to decide who visits while others stay on the boat with the captain for about 30 minutes. Swimming or snorkeling inside the Hidden Beach is not allowed. Visitors to the Hidden Beach must be between 10 and 65 years old. They are allowed a 10-minute visit and must wear a helmet and vest for safety. All participants need to be able to board and exit the boat using a ladder. The boat is described as comfortable, safe, and fast. The tour follows all regulations set by the National Commission of Protected Natural Areas (CONANP), including a ban on drones during the tour.
