This essential 1 hour and 30 minute sidecar ride in Marrakech covers three main areas: the Medina, the Gueliz district, and the palm grove. The route is fully customizable according to the rider’s interests and level of knowledge about the city. The ride begins in the Gueliz district, where passengers see historic Art Deco buildings, the first hotel built in 1918, a former open-air cinema, and a vintage clock shop, illustrating daily life during the French Protectorate period. Next, the ride continues into the Medina, passing through local neighborhoods such as the Kasbah and Mellah districts. There is an option to visit the flea market at Bad El Khemiss, which operates on Thursdays and Sundays. The final section goes through the palm grove, where the guide explains how this green area became the foundation of the Tensift region nearly a thousand years ago, highlighting its ancient underground irrigation system. The tour is open-air and includes helmets with disposable hair nets, bottled water, rain gear, live commentary on board, and a driver who acts as an insider guide.
