Market-Visit and Cooking Introduction
The group meets at the starting point to select dishes to prepare. They visit a nearby local market to purchase fresh vegetables and ingredients. A local spice shop is also visited to learn about Moroccan spices and their traditional uses; participants may buy spices with assistance in selection. After arriving at the home, a traditional Moroccan tea is served to relax. The instructor introduces Moroccan spices, checks for food allergies and dietary preferences including vegetarian and vegan options. The hands-on class begins with preparing fresh Moroccan salads, learning traditional techniques and flavor balancing. Next, a traditional Moroccan tagine is prepared using authentic spices such as Ras el Hanout. The instructor guides participants step by step, sharing tips, cooking secrets, and recipe stories. The session ends with the group sitting together to eat the meal they prepared.
