Book on Viator Confirmed right away, but you pay full price.$170.32This 2.5-hour Maui Eco-Raft Tour departs from Lahaina and uses a low-to-water zodiac raft designed for small groups. The raft’s eco-friendly design allows guests to watch whales or dolphins at eye level, close to the ocean surface. From November to May, the tour focuses on humpback whale watching, while dolphin sightings are the focus during the summer months. Wildlife sightings vary since animals are in their natural habitat, and close encounters cannot be guaranteed. A marine naturalist provides narration throughout the trip, and a hydrophone is available to listen to whale songs underwater. Life jackets are provided for emergencies but are not required to be worn during the tour. Snacks are included. Because the raft is close to the water, ocean spray and light rain may occur, so guests should expect to get wet. Shade availability on the boat varies; guests are advised to bring sun protection such as hats, sunglasses, and reef-safe sunscreen. The tour is not suitable for pregnant persons or children under 3 years old. Physical mobility is required to board the vessel safely. The tour is a short drive from Kaanapali, Kahana, Napili, Kapalua, Kihei, and Wailea.
