Overview

This introductory scuba diving lesson takes place just off the coast of Lahaina on the island of Maui. The session begins with a 15-minute online lesson sent to participants after submitting a waiver and providing personal details including name, height, weight, and US men's shoe size to ensure proper equipment fit. On the day of the dive, participants meet at a designated shore location in Lahaina, which will be communicated the day before. The total duration of the lesson is about two hours and fifteen minutes. During this time, a professional guide leads a small group of up to four people through basic scuba diving skills at a comfortable pace. The dive occurs near Maui’s coral reefs, allowing participants to practice underwater techniques in a real ocean environment. All necessary scuba equipment and water are provided. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included. Participants must be at least 12 years old and have basic swimming skills. Flying within 18 hours after diving is not allowed, so travelers should plan accordingly. Communication details are required to coordinate the meeting and provide instructions.

Itinerary

Once you complete some forms & view the online lesson, you'll meet up with us at the beach for an orientation and then suit up to try scuba diving on one of Maui's beautiful coral reefs. This is for beginners, no prior scuba experience needed. Only basic swimming skills are required and being comfortable in the ocean. *TIME SENSITIVE:* upon booking we send you a link to register and fill out a medical waiver. Please do this immediately to rule out any medical conditions that would require doctor's clearance. ✍️ 24 hours before the dive you'll need to complete the short online lesson on how to scuba dive, called Discover Scuba Diver eLearning. Once your lesson is complete, we will message you with the meet-up location. ️At our sites you can see coral, fish and even turtles! When planning your trip, know that flying within 18 hours of SCUBA is unsafe and therefore not permitted. ✈️ And it will be necessary to complete the online portions and for us to be able to communicate with you to give you the exact meet-up location. We choose our sites based on ocean conditions and every day is different! We need your height, weight & US men's shoe size for equipment.
