Overview

This private tour begins with pick up from your accommodation in Maui. You will travel in a comfortable SUV along the Road to Hana over the course of about 8 to 10 hours. The driver-guide handles all logistics so you can focus on the sights and relax in air-conditioned comfort. The tour includes stops at several locations: Paia town where the plantation history is evident; Ke'anae Arboretum with its 0.6-mile paved path among over 150 tropical plants including taro and rainbow eucalyptus; and Ke‘anae Point, a lava peninsula with ongoing taro cultivation. You will visit Pua'a Ka'a State Wayside with its bamboo groves, waterfall, and natural pool for a chance to cool off. At Wai'anapanapa State Park, see the black sand beach formed from volcanic erosion contrasting with the Pacific Ocean waters. Upper Waikani Falls, known as the Three Bears, offers views of three waterfalls feeding an emerald pool surrounded by tropical plants. The Hana Gold Cacao Plantation stop includes a guided walk through cacao trees and chocolate tasting. The town of Hana itself provides time for shopping and dining. Koki Beach features red and black volcanic sand and coastal views. The Venus Pool (Waioka Pond) is a site for cliff diving where fresh water meets the ocean, suitable for swimmers and spectators. Wailua Falls, an 80-foot waterfall, is visible from the roadside amid rainforest greenery. The final stop at Ho'okipa Beach Park offers chances to see Hawaiian Green sea turtles and to relax by the ocean. Carbonated beverages, bottled water, snacks, and private transportation with air conditioning are included. Meals are not included. The tour is designed for families, friends, or couples seeking a private, flexible experience along Maui’s Road to Hana.
