Book on Viator Confirmed right away, but you pay full price.A$258This full-day bus tour lasts about eight hours and begins at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia near Flinders Street Station in Melbourne, where guests check in and take their seats by 9am. The group travels about an hour through countryside and vineyards to reach the Yarra Valley. The first stop is Soumah winery, where a guided tasting of five wines including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Nebbiolo, and Brachetto is offered while overlooking vineyard hills and the Warramate Hills. Next is St Huberts Cellar Door for a 60-minute visit featuring tastings of four wines, with alternatives of beer or cider available. Guests may also pay extra for optional gin or whisky tastings here. The tour then proceeds to Hubert Estate's Quarters restaurant for lunch and a visit to the indigenous art gallery downstairs. Lunch is not included, allowing guests to order from a Modern Australian and European menu catering to various diets, with dishes like steaks, local vegetables, pasta, woodfired pizza, and desserts. On the way to lunch, there is a chance to stop briefly at Domaine Chandon to take photos and browse their shop; lunch is possible there but requires separate booking and means missing the St Huberts tasting. After lunch, the group heads to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery for a 45-minute guided tasting of 10 chocolates from their 500 varieties, with the option to watch chocolatiers at work and buy gelato or gifts. For those less interested in chocolate, the driver can take them instead to Yarrawood Estate Winery to enjoy a wine purchase or to Balgownie Estate before rejoining the group. At Balgownie Estate, a guided tasting of five wines is included, or guests may choose a glass of wine, tea, or coffee while enjoying the views. The tour includes a driver with music, air conditioning, wine tastings, and a chocolate tasting but excludes lunch and hotel transfers. Suitcases, wheelchairs, and baby strollers are not allowed on this tour.
