This 2.5-hour Milan Super Saver guided tour includes skip-the-line entry to the Duomo and elevator access to its rooftop. The tour starts inside the Duomo di Milano, one of Europe’s largest cathedrals built over six centuries in Gothic style. A professional guide explains the cathedral’s architectural and artistic features, including paintings, statues, and pagan symbols such as zodiac signs. Visitors also see the underground crypt beneath the altar, where Archbishop Carlo Borromeo is buried. After the indoor visit, the group takes the elevator partway up to the rooftop. From there, visitors climb about 75 stairs to reach the top, where panoramic views of Milan are visible. Headphones are provided if the group has more than four people. The tour is offered in English year-round and in Spanish from April to October at 10:00 a.m. The rooftop is not wheelchair accessible. A dress code requires covered knees and shoulders for all visitors. Food, drinks, knives, ceramic mugs, and any items that could be used as blunt weapons are not allowed inside the Duomo. On hot days, sun protection and water are recommended. An optional 2-day Open Bus ticket can be added to explore Milan independently after the tour. If selected, the Open Bus voucher must be shown at the bus stop in Piazza Duomo in front of the taxi stand, where the Milan Open Tour bus departs.
