Itinerary

1

Check-in

Passengers should check in with staff at least 15 minutes before the cruise departure time.

2

Fiordland National Park

Located in southwest New Zealand’s South Island, Fiordland National Park features glacier-formed fiords including Doubtful and Milford Sounds. The area includes a beech forest trail along Milford’s sandy shore with views of Mitre Peak, the craggy Earl Mountains that reflect in Mirror Lakes, and the Chasm Walk over bridges overlooking waterfalls on the Cleddau River.

120 min

3

Milford Sound

This fiord is known for the towering Mitre Peak, dense rainforests, and waterfalls such as Stirling and Bowen Falls that drop down its cliffs. Wildlife includes colonies of fur seals, penguins, and dolphins.

105 min

4

Mitre Peak

Mitre Peak is a sharply rising mountain on Milford Sound’s shore and is one of New Zealand’s most photographed peaks.

5

Bowen Falls

Lady Bowen Falls, at 162 meters, is Milford Sound’s tallest waterfall. It falls from a hanging valley into the head of the fiord and supplies power and water to the local township through a small hydroelectric scheme.

6

Sinbad Gully

Behind Mitre Peak, Sinbad Gully is marked by steep, glacially carved walls and near-vertical granite cliffs. The terrain has limited pest invasion, allowing native species to survive. The tour operator supports conservation efforts here through the Sinbad Sanctuary Project, aiming to protect this area near New Zealand’s most photographed mountain.

7

Stirling Falls

Stirling Falls is Milford’s second highest waterfall, dropping 151 meters—about three times the height of Niagara Falls. The mountain behind it rises 1,300 meters, affecting the waterfall’s apparent height. Boats and kayakers can approach directly under the falls, where the water’s force is noticeable.
