Minneriya National Park in Sri Lanka is known for its large herds of Asian elephants and diverse wildlife. This half-day safari lasts about 3 to 4 hours, with options for a morning safari starting at 6:00 am or an afternoon safari beginning at 1:00 pm. The tour departs from the park’s main entrance near the car park. Guests staying within 10 kilometers of the entrance in Habarana or Minneriya may receive a free hotel pickup. During the safari, the jeep travels through the park’s terrain to spot elephants, crocodiles on the lake banks or swimming, and birds of prey hunting for fish. Other animals such as deer, buffalo, monkeys, and various birds may also be seen. Bottled water is included for guests. Admission fees and taxes to the national park are not included and must be paid separately.
